About me

Hi,hi! I am Nikki, 52, British, living in France near Bordeaux. I have been here 16 years, but my French is bad enough to make your ears bleed! Luckily, I get by quite well. My background is in child education and property management. Guiding is my third career and should have been the only one. It’s not work.... it’s fun!

I rediscovered not only myself, my humour, my love of history, architecture and people when I started guiding for Viking Cruises in 2013.
I discovered a new passion in wine.

It’s difficult to not have some knowledge of wine living in the heart of the wine region of Bordeaux/St Emilion, but it’s such an interesting and complex subject and I enjoy lots of practical experiences.....you are supposed to spit the wine at a tasting.... I think that’s so wasteful....are they crazy?... so I drink mine! I am studying for a diploma in wine and take my exam in May.

I have a lovely husband of 28 years and a beautiful indépendant, funny, life loving daughter of 25: My greatest creation.
