1. What do you like about your city's architecture?
St Petersburg was found according to one man's will. And he was Peter I. He was the first Russian Emperor and one of the greatest Tsars, who not only pushed the country ahead, but also did impose European lifestyle and, thus, changed the Russian one drastically and the city's architecture proves it. In addition, for over 200 years St Petersburg used to be the capital of Russia and the fabulous buildings constructed during that term were to match such a high status.
2. What's your favourite historical story of your city?
I would call it an urban legend. Once a British merchant heard about the grate of the Summer Garden. People called it the most beautiful in the world. To make sure that it was true he sailed to St Petersburg. The moment he saw it he accepted that there couldn't be a decorative grate more beautiful.
