What you will experience

During the tour, we will discover Katong, a residential neighborhood with amazingly preserved exteriors filled with a hyper mix of cultural diversity. It's also called the Jewel of the East.

We'll start at the edge of the Katong neighborhood from where we'll walk through a couple of streets to admire the landscape and colonial buildings. Along the way we'll grab some local snacks, from the super traditional food to interesting fusions with a modern twist. You'll get to admire and purchase some local memorabilia. Don't worry, I'll translate the Singlish (Singaporean English)!

BONUS:
1. Katong is parallel to East Coast Park which is our main beach. If you have the energy to go on after the tour, great! I'll take you to my favourite spot and you can chill the evening away.
2. Katong is filled with interesting bars. I'll share more in person.

Do take note of the following details.

1. You will be walking quite a bit. This tour is not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues. However if you do have a strong interest despite having mobility issues, please let me know in advance so that we can plan something out together.

2. A list of essential items for the tour
a. Sneakers
b. Dress lightly and comfortably
c. (VERY IMPORTANT) Bring an empty stomach. I've got tons of gastronomical delights awaiting you.
d. Bring at least least $50 in SGD in case you want to purchase some local goods, not all shops are credit card friendly
e. Smartphone charger (in case you run of of power while taking videos or pictures)

3. Ideal Start Time: 11.00 - 11.30am
(I'd prefer to meet at the hotel, don't worry the tour only starts at the first destination)
