What you will experience

Put on some comfy shoes, because we will walk through Rome as if it were the set of your favorite Hollywood movie! Do you have any idea how many international movies were filmed here? I’ll show you the most famous filming locations. It will be quite a walk, so let’s go!

After meeting up at Chiesa Valdese, we will head towards Castel Sant’Angelo: theatre of one of the most explosive scenes of recent Hollywood history (do you remember angels and demons?).

After this, we will continue our walk through the inner historic center of the city via Pantheon and Piazza Navona. On our way, we'll stop every now and then to see the terraces where Sorrentino found inspiration for his Oscar winning La Grande Bellezza, the apartment where Julia Roberts lived in Eat Pray Love and the cafe where Mr. Ripley was while in Rome. We will then climb towards the Gianicolo to see two of the most beautiful spots from La Grande Bellezza and one of the panoramic points from which Rome could be viewed at the top of its beauty.

Afterwards, we will go through Testaccio where we will take a break at a bar where the most famous scene from The Talented Mr. Ripley was filmed: the one with him singing "tu vo fa l’Americano"!

Another stroll and we will be at the set of the Orange Garden and the place where the most famous scene of Roman Vacations was filmed!

Do you still have energy? Let's cross the beautiful ghetto, go back to the historic center and pay our tribute to Federico Fellini and Anita Ekberg taking her unforgettable bath in the Trevi Fountain!

In the end, we have talked all the time about movies and barely realized that we have crossed the whole city by foot!

Who is your local guide?

I'm Raffaella, born in the south of Italy, in the most beautiful city in the world (Bari n.d.r.) and raised eating focaccia, raw fish, and iced peroni. Started travelling the world while student and from that moment I never stopped!

I work for an international company during the morning, leading a group of tourists all over the world as a tour guide during my vacations, playing as an amateur comic actress in my spare time, and fighting against Gotham’s crime during the night along with James Gordon ... such a boring routine! :)
