Enjoy the golden sunrise by the Mediterranean sea of Larnaca

What is the local activity?
Be an early bird and take a morning stroll on Larnaca's promenade to admire the sunrise. Walk along a 3.5 km (total 7km to return to the starting point) beautiful palm tree seafront, starting from Finikoudes Beach reaching the Mackenzie Beach, and enjoy the sun rising from the calming waves of the Mediterranean sea.
In summer, you can finish your walk either by jumping into the water and swim or if you still have the stamina you can try water sports, especially SUP if the water is calm, at Mackenzie Beach. In winter, you can indulge yourself in a cup of coffee by the sea and most probable under the sun since there is almost all year round sunshine in Cyprus.
What to consider before participating in this local activity
It is a free activity. Requires comfortable shoes and an average health condition. To enjoy the sunrise to its full glory be 15-30 minutes earlier than sunrise time.
Starting from Finikoudes beach you can park free of charge at the big parking space next to the police station. In case you want to start from the opposite direction at Mackenzie beach, you can park at the Mackenzie parking area for EUR 3.00. Alternatively, there is a small free parking space in front of Salamis restaurant but the competition for a spot there is intense.
