What is the local activity?
This Norman Church is built just inside the medieval walls of Dublin. It was originally a monastery and you can still see the old cloisters.
There is a free guided tour and a colouring area for small children. The tour guides are really enthusiastic and there are large tombs from the 1500's.
The garden in front has great games to play like large musical instruments and a spinning rock. It's a lovely spot to have a picnic. All free and fun for all the family.
What to consider before participating in this local activity
It is an easy spot to visit just 5 minutes walk from Christchurch Cathedral. Or if you are walking back from the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol or the Phoenix Park it is nice spot to have a seat and look at the flowers.
The Visitors Centre will reopen in 2021 but the gardens are open in Daylight hours..
